CMS Driven iPad App Leica Microsystems

A household name for cameras, Leica are also world leaders in other forms of optical technology. Leica Microsystems develops microscopes and imaging solutions for medical, research and industrial applications. Working with their Confocal Imaging team in Frankfurt, we designed and developed a content marketing app for the iPad, with the power to demonstrate the unique imaging abilities of their range. App content is managed through a CMS – initially WordPress, later upgraded to Contentful – enabling the team at Leica to update their content through an easy-to-use interface. The app also caches its content to the device, so that it can be used when there is no signal present or the user wishes to reduce mobile data use.
